O trabalho do servidor Marcus Paredes tem uma missão ousada: mostrar as aves mais comuns dos parques do Distrito Federal. Com mais de 150 espécies de aves, no painel estão presentes desde as aves mais famosas e conhecidas, como o tucano (Ramphastos toco) e o pardal (Passer domesticus), até aquelas menos comuns, como a saí azul (Dacnis cayana) e a maria faceira (Syrigma sibilatrix).

A maioria das fotos é da autoria do próprio servidor, que é biólogo de formação, e se considera um amante das aves.

O trabalho foi desenvolvido ao longo de 4 anos e a ideia inicial era publicar um livro com todas as fotos. No entanto, com a confecção do cartaz foi possível custear parte dos gastos do Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (TCC), o qual discorreu acerca da Riqueza das Espécies de Aves de Brasília.
